Oakberry Malmö C: a pause in the rush.

Oakberry, the international açaí brand, opened a new shop at Malmö C — Malmö Central Station in southern Sweden — and hired us to photograph and film the opening. We arrived with a plan for every scene, and once the opening was over, we edited a commercial on site.

The shop sits in a European central station, where many travellers don't speak Swedish. So Oakberry got the same commercial in three versions: Swedish, French and English.

A young woman eats from a layered Oakberry açaí cup at the counter, with a pink neon cup sign and stacked Oakberry jars in the background.

Made for a place where everyone is on their way.

The commercial is built on one simple idea: that even people in a hurry can stop for a moment. Here it is in all three versions.

English

An international station calls for more than one language — so the film comes in three.

The film is carried by a short text about finding calm on the move. Here it is in English translation.

“There are small cracks in time when we're on our way... quiet gaps where everything stands still. There is nothing there but a soft, whispering peace... I capture a moment with my lens, drink my coffee... and let the world wait.”

Planned ahead, edited on site.

01

Before — a plan

The brief was photos and video from the opening. We arrived with a scene list and a plan for something more: a finished commercial.

02

During — film, photos, interviews

Amid the bustle of the opening, we filmed scene by scene, as planned. We also ran short interviews with new customers and staff, and photographed them and the product.

03

After — three languages

Once the opening was over, we edited the scenes on site into a commercial in three language versions. The same day, Oakberry also had the photos and interviews.

Ready for social media the same day.

An opening is most newsworthy while it's happening. So the interviews and photos were captioned, archived and delivered the same day, ready for Oakberry to post straight to social media.

  • A commercial of about 37 seconds, edited on site
  • Three language versions: Swedish, French and English
  • Short interviews with new customers and staff
  • Event photography: customers, staff and product
  • Interviews and photos captioned, archived and delivered the same day
